A day after TV actor Kushal Tandon and Gauahar Khan announced their breakup, reports suggest that the main reason for their separation was the Ishaqzaade-fame dancer-actor's demand that Kushal should 'convert' to her religion. Kushal refuses to put the blame on Gauahar but admits that religion was becoming a topic for fights between them.

Kushal, though, stopped short of putting the blame squarely on Gauahar, but admitted having told a journalist friend that religion was becoming a topic for fights between the two.

Clarifying his side on the issue, Kushal tweeted, "In a fit of anger I spoke some stuff to dear friend of mine who also happens to be a journo about the love of my life Gauahar. None of it's true coz it came from a bitter place in my heart which was angry."

The actor added, "When two people from different backgrounds come together, they have multiple discussions on various topics form home children family religion etc. Me and Gauahar too have had healthy talks...like any normal couple...Noweher did it mean either of us was trying to force change of our views...I maybe conveyed that wrong...and it sounded bad...Her respect is mine and any fingers pointing towards her integrity point at mine."

Gaushal, as the couple was called, made a lot of buzz after they hooked up on Bigg Boss. Kushal was evicted from the reality show and Gauahar voluntarily left the show soon after. Both of them were back on the show a few days later and Gauahar went on to win Bigg Bos 7. Out of the controversial show, the couple kept on making news as they appeared on another reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi and made very public declarations of love for each other.

London: Katrina Kaif today became the latest Indian star to join the Bollywood line-up at Madame Tussauds in London.

Kaif unveiled the wax statue and joined the new Bollywood setting as part of the popular wax-work museum's "15 years of Bollywood" celebration. After coming face-to-face with her wax model, Kaif said, "This is amazing it does look really like me."

"Our world famous sculptors have worked closely with the Indian film industry over the last decade, and we now have a stellar line-up in a specially created Bollywood area ? one of the most popular in the attraction," Madame Tussauds said in a statement.

Katrina, born to a British mother and Kashmiri father, was picked after she went head to head with competitors Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone to win a hotly contested poll last year via Madame Tussauds website and in collaboration with Panjab Radio, with more than 225,000 votes were cast.

The 31-year-old British-Indian actress has become the seventh Bollywood actor to be honoured with a figure at Madame Tussauds London and joins Amitabh Bachchan (2000), Aishwarya Rai (2004), Shah Rukh Khan (2007), Salman Khan (2008), Hrithik Roshan (2011) and Madhuri Dixit-Nene (2012).

"Katrina collaborated closely with the Madame Tussauds artistic team to ensure total accuracy and is delighted with the figure, which is portrayed in a dancing pose wearing a beautiful sequined white, silver and gold, two piece outfit," a museum spokesperson said.

Katrina's figure was created by a team of 20 sculptors and artists over a four-month period, using hundreds of precise measurements taken at a sitting in Mumbai and cost 150,000 pounds to create.

Madame Tussauds Studios London has been making wax figures for over 150 years with each masterpiece taking up to four months and a team of 20 dedicated sculptors to create.

Over 500 precise body measurements are referenced, real head hairs are inserted one by one, and countless layers of paints and tints are applied to build up skin tones to achieve a kind of astonishing realism that visitors flock to see from around the world.

The Bollywood factor has proved extremely lucrative, with Indian holidaymakers and NRIs forming a large chunk of the visitor numbers at one of London's most popular tourist spots.

According to the latest buzz, Deepika Singh reportedly slapped her onscreen husband Anas Rashid on the sets of 'Diya Aur Bati Hum'. The reports by Bollywood Mantra suggest that while shooting for an intimate scene, Anas touched her improperly. This naturally didn't go down well with Deepika and she raised the issue to her director and other crew members.

Apparently the director of the show, who also happens to be Deepika's husband ignored the matter. But the real twist in the story came when a junior artist asked Deepika if she was not at all bugged with Anas' misbehaviour. Deepika who was quite hurt with the incident, went to the director - Rohit Raj Goyal and while she was discussing the matter with him, Anas came in between and started defending himself.  

Leaving the discussion aside, Deepika and Anas had a heated argument and in the heat of the moment, Deepika slapped him in front of all.

Anas allegedly lodged a complaint with Cine and TV artistes association claiming that Deepika has falsely blamed him of molestation on the sets of the show.

KARACHI (AP) -- The police opened a blasphemy investigation targeting a pop singer who became Islamic preacher over him allegedly insulting one of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a senior police officer said Wednesday.

The accusation is the latest in a wave of blasphemy-related cases in this Muslim-dominated country, which often see minorities targeted.

Officials opened the case Tuesday against Junaid Jamshed in Karachi, the capital of southern Sindh province, police officer Sheraz Nazeer said. He said police responded to a complaint by the Pakistani Sunni Tehreek party over a video released last weekend.

In the video, Jamshed appeared to insult one of the wives of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) while making a point about women s  flaws . Jamshed swiftly apologized in a video statement Tuesday.

"I confess to my mistake," he said. "I did not do it intentionally."

But the Pakistan Sunni Tehreek party rejected his apology, saying he must be tried in court.

"We demand an immediate arrest of Junaid Jamshid, who is a cursed person," party spokesman Mobin Qadri said.

It was not immediately clear whether Jamshed was in Pakistan. He used to belong to a band called "Vital Signs" before giving up popular music in 2005 when he devoted his life to Islam.

Under Pakistan s harsh blasphemy laws, anyone accused of insulting Islam, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) or other religious Islamic figures can be sentenced to death, although no one has ever been executed under the law.

Just being accused of blasphemy can put someone at grave personal risk. Angry mobs have killed blasphemy suspects in the past. Defense lawyers have been targeted and judges sometimes hold trials inside jails out of safety concerns.

Last month, an axe-wielding police officer killed a member of the Shiite minority sect in police custody, claiming he had committed blasphemy by insulting companions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). A mob recently killed a Christian couple and burned their bodies in a brick kiln where the man and his wife worked, claiming they allegedly desecrated the Quran. read more →
